Reboot Music & Dancing Astronaut present DJ MOGILL feat. EEKO & Roma Düb
After coming off a one of a kind event just a few weeks before at WETBAR (Invite-only Rooftop Pool Party) at the W Hotel Downtown in Atlanta, GA, it was time for DJ MOGILL’s monthly Saturday residency at Havana Club. While ATL Nightlife has covered hundreds of events in the past, including the MOGILL’s performance just a month before (at Havana Club) we knew that we were in for a night of exceptional music. For this June 18th event, DJ Roma Düb kicked off the night, leading into DJ MOGILL’s set, with NYC special-guest DJ EEKO closed things out.
When ATL Nightlife arrived at Havana Club, Roma Düb was already throwing down reputable trance and progressive house tracks that can be heard at clubs all around Atlanta. He knew without fail just what to play to build up the vibe in the room and got the night started off on the right foot. As more and more people moved from the bar to the dance floor we claimed a spot towards the front to ensure that we wouldn’t miss any of the action that was sure to ensue. As DJ MOGILL took the stage we had a sneaky suspicion that the surprise element of most Reboot events was going to take place shortly. After looking around the dance floor for any signs of this surprise we had no luck. Suddenly, out of the corner of the room we saw an astronaut head moving through the crowd and right past us on her way to the stage. It was time for the fire girl (who made her premiere last month)! We have to give credit that the nod to Dancing Astronaut was fitting for an event such as this one.

As DJ MOGILL kept the sounds going with tracks from the Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, and a personal favorite (thanks to MOGILL’s summer podcast) “Gypsy & The Cat – Jona Vark (Tommy Trash Remix)” the room kept filling up. As if the music wasn’t enough, the confetti and fire spinning eye candy were excellent additions to an eventful night hosted by Reboot Music. As the fist pumps were flying the crowd had shifted from looking at MOGILL to looking at the back towards the bar. To see what all the commotion was about we looked up and were in awe that the girl who was just breathing and twirling fire was now hanging from the ceiling by two pieces of fabric. It was safe to say that talent from all sorts of artists surrounded us on this night.

With a bit of southern hospitality, MOGILL passed the mantle to DJ EEKO, so that EEKO could take the stage an hour early as appreciate nod for traveling all the way from NYC. What a nice guy, huh!? With a crowd of upwards of 700+ people EEKO kept the crowd wanting more until the early morning hours without skipping a beat. While many in the room had never heard of EEKO, a prominent member of EDM’s leading blog Dancing Astronaut, Atlanta most certainly was pleased by the quality of dance infused tracks along with traditional house sound. Looking past the confetti and fire it was refreshing to see so many talented young DJs with such a deep passion for EDM. From Trance to House, all the artists throughout the evening made this event a huge success. You can check out Dancing Astronaut's own recap here!
